Why did you become a Chiropractor and Craniosacral Therapist?  A short time after graduating from Penn State in 1972 with a liberal arts degree I developed the feeling that I wanted to pursue a course of work with the purpose of being truly useful to others, with skills I could apply simply with my hands, head, and heart. I soon began hearing about Chiropractic from friends and family and my path became quite clear. My Craniosacral studies came about from my desire to find ways to work with my patients more subtly, deeply, and unintrusively - from the inside out.

What's you favorite part of your job? Helping people become more fully embodied and connected to their own healing abilities.

What's the best advice you've received? In working with people pay attention to the dis-ease in their bodies but don’t forget to look for the health as well.

What fascinates you most about the human body? Both it’s simplicity and complexity.

What are your hobbies? Swimming, running, walking, house projects, snuggling with my wife.

Where do you go to escape the office?  Water to swim in, preferably outdoors, or a trail to trod.

What photos do you have on your desk? My wife Laura aglow with the late afternoon sun on her face as we walked on a public foot path through a field in Yorkshire, England.

What's your favorite book? At the moment it is “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver.

How do you start each day? Sitting meditation, followed by stretching and fresh squeezed fruit juice.
